Repertoire
The music committee, including the conductor and four choir members, selects music and ultimately decides what music will be performed. Each member of the committee, except for the conductor, is elected on a three-year basis. At the moment, the committee consists of Mr Joost Doodeman, Ms
Marieke Beerthuis, Mr Rob Dullemond, Ms Juliëtte Eggink, Ms Ellen Winter and Ms
Helene van der Meulen.
Each Tourdion member is free to put forward suggestions as regards new pieces of music. Subsequently the music committee will decide as to whether the suggested song or songs match the current repertoire. The music committee selects songs in a way that does justice to an equal distribution of classical music, easy listening and folk music. Furthermore, the choice of repertoire is adapted to the length and/or theme of upcoming concerts so as to please both the singers and the audience.
